A Yale research technician Raymond Clark III was sentenced to 44 years in prison on Friday for strangling graduate student Annie Le just days before her 2009 nuptials.
The 26-year-old Clark III worked as an animal research assistant at equivalent lab wherein Le was studying treatments for chronic diseases and had appealed culpable in March to throttling her when tried to sexually assault her.
Le, a doctoral pharmacology student and native of Placerville, California, was reported missing 5 days before her wedding to Columbia University graduate student Jonathan Widawsky.
Le’s body was found crammed in a wall of the research lab on the day she would have been married, according to the various reports.
Authorities’ shows that Clark left a bloody misdeed incident and that he had glints the lab’s floors and tried to conceal a box of blitz wipes in a try to clean up after him. Investigators also better Clark’s semen at the scene and his DNA on a pen found under Le’s body.
